2D Animation Week 8

So on this week we had a pretty heated discussion on gender equality on Monday. We were given sheets of paper concerning that topic. 

Then we did conceptual drawing with Mr Mark and it was actually pretty good. We were told to drawn from the ideas that were presented and we did just that...It came out really good.

On the other days, we learned more about digital literacy and the animation principles...as well as storyboarding and script writing.

We also did more on the ice cream thing on adobe illustrator and that was about it.
It was pretty fun to showcase our ideas and freely express our imaginatio together as a class...which was honestly really cool...
but other than that, we didnt really do much, we just had a lot of work to complete.

2D animation week 4

 This week has been somewhat..stressful. We were given a lot more work that we could handle.  On Monday, we were taught about the importance of timing,basically having a schedule for everyday tasks in order to manage ourselves better and be able to have a profound and discliplined life. The after that we had to do a speech. I was concerned because we didnt follow the brief in the way the lecturer wanted us to...however we were able to  do the speech regardless. Everyone gave an exemplary speech but there were a few notes that our teacher commented on...about using our natural voice and not to "give a performance" while executing the speech. With that said, I decided to be serious on my speech and use my natural voice as best I can, but...that didnt turn out well because after the speech,I was told that I didnt have  an expression on my face, nor did I have "feeling" to it. I was like..."freakin hell man!" I should have just done the speech MY WAY to begin ...

2D Animation Week 1 and 2

My experience at NEMISA thus far has been quite intriguing. I've met new friends, gained insight into the goals of others, and learned a lot. Surprisingly, the teachers, staff, and fellow students are genuinely kind people. Who would've thought? The environment exudes a wholesome, welcoming feeling, which is fantastic. The 2D animation group experience has also been intriguing, though in a different way. Unfortunately, I was ill for the first two days and was crushed because I really wanted to be there. Despite this twist of fate, I was able to attend the last three days of the first week, which was great. During those days, I encountered computer problems, but I learned about Adobe Animate and Illustrator, as well as the basics of realistic drawing, such as shading. We also had a film appreciation session, and I have to say, I wish I had been ill that Friday because I saw a film that scarred me for life. 2D Animation Week 7

 Week 7.....Freakin horrible/ Challenging... We started the week by watching a documentary about Dreams and how important they are...as well as how they affect our lives on a daily basis. Then we were given the task to write about our own dreams. I forgot my dreams half the time but i remembered a recent on last night, I'LL mention it on the other blog.  We also did the upside down drawing in Mr Marks class...it was supposed to challenge the analytical side of our brain. It was not fun at all😂😂but completed it nonetheless. On Friday we did the film appreciation test and it was actually okay...WHY AM I SO CALM ABOUT THAT????😂😂😂 Anyway,crazy week... but challenging as well, which is really good. -Tia Kekana.
